When you walk in, you immediately get the vibe that this is a locally owned restaurant. There were definitely no frills about the inside of the restaurant, and I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with that either. You walk up to the counter, find a menu, and go through it and tell the friendly person what you'd like to order. Then you go sit down, and they bring you your food. One thing I didn't care for, was on this visit I ordered a burger, fries, and a drink. I took my drink and sat down, and waited for my food to come to me. However I was surprised when my fries came to my table, but with no burger. The burger eventually came a good 5 minutes later but I would have preferred them to both come at the same time. This could just be something that only I notice and care about, but it's nothing that I would condemn this place for.
Now to the review of the burger! To start, the burger was a fairly decent size. Not too big, and not to small. Everything tasted fresh and there was hardly any grease to the burger. However the burger didn't wow me at all. It was a tasty burger, but it was just missing something. Perhaps a steamed bun would have added the missing element, but I just can't put my finger on it. Now that's not to say that I wouldn't go back here for a burger, because I plan on revisiting soon and ordering another burger.
After thinking about this burger and comparing it to other burgers I've had, I would rank it #2 on my list. Above the loop but below Five Guys.
Conclusion: A nice locally owned hamburger joint with a TON of variety in the types of burgers you can order. Not the greatest burgers I've had, but worth going back again.
