Amazing. That's the best way to describe the burger at Five Guys, honestly there's no better word in the English language that would do it justice. I've been a fan of Five Guys ever since they started popping up in the Jacksonville area, but they are pretty pricey. My total meal was around $14 and some change with fries and a drink, so I usually only visit Five Guys once every few months. And every time I go the burger is always the best burger I've ever ate.
Above is the Regular Bacon Cheeseburger, and below is the Regular Cheeseburger (I forgot to order the Bacon Cheeseburger last time I went *sadface*) Both are equally amazing.
The fries at this restaurant are equally good. They have regular and Cajun, and the Cajun have a really nice kick to them!
Conclusion: If you want a fantastic burger and you don't mind paying a bit more than normal, you need to visit Five Guys, I promise you it will not disappoint! As of right now this is the best burger I have ever had!
I went to lunch with a friend today and we were throwing ideas back and forth as to where we were going to go, and he mentioned how good the food was at this restaurant. Having never eaten there before I was totally open to trying it out.
The restaurant give you the feeling of 'home-style', and reminds me of going to my grandmothers house for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Baskets hanging on the walls, flower tablecloths, and just a generally good feeling inside.
First we ordered the Beer and Cheese soup, which I forgot to take a picture of but let me tell you it was INCREDIBLE! It was served with two homemade soft pretzels to dip into the soup which were equally as good as the soup.
For my main entree I ordered the European Club with ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and mayonnaise served on rye bread. Everything tasted fresh and was also very tasty. It was so big that I had to take half of the sandwich and the chips home with me.
I stopped by my the Miller's Alehouse today for lunch to meet up with some friends. This is a restaurant that I can honestly say I've never been disappointed with. The food is always excellent, the service is always top notch, and the drinks are always strong.
Being that it was my lunch break, I opted to not get my usual Crown and diet, and simply focused on getting something tasty to eat. And that is where the glorious menu item known as the "Mountain Melt" comes into play.
The AleHouse has a signature item on it's menu known as a "Zinger". And basically this is a 4 to 5 inch piece of chicken, breaded and fried, and then served with your choice of hot sauce. Now take a hand full of Zingers, throw them on top of a delicious bed of fries, cover those in cheese and bacon and there you have a Mountain Melt. This is my go to item when I come to AleHouse because it's everything I could ever want in a meal, and then topped with cheese and bacon. It almost makes me tear up thinking about it.
If that picture doesn't make your mouth water, then I feel sorry for you.
Conclusion: Miller's AleHouse is a great go-to place to eat. While they are another chain restaurant, their menu has something for everyone and they offer daily lunch and dinner specials. You seriously can't go wrong with anything you order, however I highly recommend trying the Mountain Melt at least once!
Each week I eagerly await the day my friends and I meet at Salsas for lunch, that's how much I enjoy this restaurant. This week was no different, yet this time knowing that I was going to use Salsas as my first official review on here made Monday and Tuesday drag slower than usual.
The lunch time crowd here is always very light and in the 20 plus times I've been here I have never had to wait for a table. The complimentary chips and salsas tasted as if they both were freshly made in house, and were delicious as they always are.
For this special occasion I decided to go with my favorite menu item, the Flautas, which are rolled flour tortillas filled with chicken and then deep fried. They serve this meal with rice, beans, and a guacamole and sour cream salad. For the price, the amount of food you receive is amazing. Like always, the food tasted fresh and delicious.
I also decided that I was feeling extra hungry and ordered a taco on the side. It was delicious but it took everything I had to finish it because of how full I was. However I maned up and made it happen!
Conclusion: I love it! This restaurant remains one of my favorite places to eat at time and time again. There is never a wait time for lunch, the food comes out very quick, and everything is always delicious and fresh tasting.
