Mimi's Cafe is a chain restaurant that claims to be "French inspired". The menu items vary from Andouille Sausage & Red Pepper omelet for breakfast to Meyer Lemon Muscles & Frites for lunch/dinner.
I was in the mood for something light or I would have cone for the Steak Frite, which is a 10oz New York strip served with hand-cut potatoes. Instead I went for the Turkey, Bacon & Pesto sandwich. This came with Mozzarella, tomatoes, balsamic mixed greens, avocado and basil-pesto mayonnaise served on toasted chibatta bread. I have to say this was one tasty sandwich! I personally love chibatta bread, basil-pesto mayo, and bacon, so with all of this wrapped into one lovely combo I don't see how it could ever be bad. That being said, the sandwich was tasty and the ingredients all seemed fresh, however the food didn't have a "wow" factor.
Conclusion: This French inspired chain restaurant has a wide variety of choices on their menu. If you're looking for breakfast at lunch time or just looking for something to change up your everyday lunch routine, Mimi's seems like a good place to go.
