Amazing. That's the best way to describe the burger at Five Guys, honestly there's no better word in the English language that would do it justice. I've been a fan of Five Guys ever since they started popping up in the Jacksonville area, but they are pretty pricey. My total meal was around $14 and some change with fries and a drink, so I usually only visit Five Guys once every few months. And every time I go the burger is always the best burger I've ever ate.
Above is the Regular Bacon Cheeseburger, and below is the Regular Cheeseburger (I forgot to order the Bacon Cheeseburger last time I went *sadface*) Both are equally amazing.
The fries at this restaurant are equally good. They have regular and Cajun, and the Cajun have a really nice kick to them!
Conclusion: If you want a fantastic burger and you don't mind paying a bit more than normal, you need to visit Five Guys, I promise you it will not disappoint! As of right now this is the best burger I have ever had!
Lately I've been in the mood for burgers, burgers, and more burgers. I've heard a lot of good things about The Loop, but I never went there before. Mostly because the closest one is in the Town Center and I usually choose to not deal with the traffic there during lunch time. However a few friends of mine wanted to go and they offered to drive so I figured this would be the best time to try them out, and not have to deal with the traffic myself.
Having never been there, but always hearing great things about The Loop I had pretty high expectations. I ordered the Loop 'n Swiss Burger and added some bacon to it. The burger was cooked a bit longer than I prefer but overall it was a very tasty burger. It came with fries (the Irish in me loves that) and some mustard base sauce (I can't do mustard).
Conclusion: Overall I would say this is a good burger. Is this the best burger I've ever had? Absolutely not. Would I go back there again and order a burger? Yeah, it was a solid burger.
Normally I wouldn't give a review for a chain restaurant such as Hooters, but when I enjoy something and think it's worth going there I want to share it. This brings me to the Hooters Wednesday Wingday special. For 6.99 you get 10 boneless wings and a generous portion of curly fries. Obviously if you are looking for fine dining, you aren't going to go to a restaurant such as this, but hey, sometimes we need a quick cheap meal on our lunch break.
I was eating with a friend and he told me he never tried fried pickles....I was absolutely speechless! So I ordered us some as an appetizer, because Hooters honestly has some of the best fried pickles I've ever had and combined with the sauce they serve with them, it puts them off the charts!
This is what you get for 6.99 (I did have to pay .89 extra for a second ranch), which honestly is a good deal for a quick lunch. I ordered Hot Garlic sauce on my wings today and it was some of the best Hot Garlic sauce I've had. I've also ordered the Habanero BBQ in the past and it is equally as tasty. The fries were normal frozen fries, but again when I come here I just want quick cheap food.
Conclusion: I wouldn't go here if they didn't have such a cheap Wednesday lunch special, but since they do I recommend them solely on that. The service is usually lackluster in almost every way possible, so don't expect anything more than that. If you go in there with mindset you may actually enjoy your lunch on Wednesdays :)
